J. Cole is a light-skinned slave, who leads his fellow slaves to revolt
Here goes the video for one of my favourite songs from J. Cole’s third LP, 2014 Forest Hills Drive. It’s not what you might expect for the video to one of the album’s most upbeat songs, G.O.M.D.
Probably unintentionally, J. Cole has given a modern-day visual to Kanye West’s All Day lyric, “like a light-skinned slave, boy, we in the mothafuckin’ house.”
In the video Cole embodies a light-skinned slave who leads his fellow slaves to revolt against their “masters.” Check out the visual below.
