Delve deeper into the life of Jloyal as he prepares to launch his new EP

JloyalJloyal is set to release his first EP, entitled Live Free, on October 26. CD copies of the EP will be given away at the launch party happening that night and it will be then available for free download, shortly after.

Following seven years of writing and recording he believes it is time for the world to hear his heartfelt songs. He stays ever grateful to his mother, who has never failed to stand by his side.

Born in Newark, New Jersey, UK recording artist Jloyal moved to England when he was just four years old. He is an aspiring director and an extremely talented rapper and poet.

Raised in Tottenham, London, he has been writing lyrics since he was 14. Describing himself as more of a ‘storyteller’ he admits being raised in Tottenham was ‘not easy’. Instead of blocking out the emotions he can’t verbalise in conversation, he converts them into true lyrics.

Now, at the age of 21 he believes his time to shine has come. His unique flow and concept makes him stand out from other artists currently taking the UK music scene by storm. He aims to inspire people to make a change and to touch at least one person’s life. He has definitely surpassed this aim in the build up to his Live Free EP release, on October 26.

Previously part of a UK music collective, Jloyal has amassed well over 30,000 views on YouTube and just over 600 downloads of his independent mixtape, Blacknights Volume 1.

He is also the founder of the Blacknights movement, born in early 2011, whereby people are able to express themselves in every possible art form. The term ‘knight’ represents to the strong passion and desire one has to chase their goal and ‘Blac’ embodies authority and power.
