T.I. and Lil Wayne head to New Orleans to shoot the video for ‘Ball’
After giving us a little teaser a week ago, last night saw the video premiere for T.I.’s new track Ball (feat. Lil Wayne). This frenetic rap fantasy takes us to Lil Wayne’s hood, New Orleans. Weezy hasn’t been back there for a while; he told MTV News: “It was weird, because we shot it in my ‘hood, and he shot it in some spots that I hadn’t been in so long.”
In an interview with Rap-Up he explained: ‘I don’t wanna restrict the process and confine myself to a deadline and compromise my benefit to deliver the best possible project that I can.’
The album will have two title-tracks, one featuring R. Kelly and the other a solo T.I. record. He has also confirmed features from Andre 3000, Cee Lo Green and ASAP Rocky. T.I. thinks ASAP is dope, very creative and has an enormous amount of potential. Their Trouble Man collaboration is titled, Wildside.
T.I. had ‘around 45 songs’ being considered for the upcoming album, he told Billboard’s The Juice last year. ‘This is the first project where I’m talking about things that I’ve experienced before, that I’m not necessarily experiencing now,’ he says.
“On No Mercy, I was apologising for being Trouble Man. Right now, I’m embracing it,” says the Grand Hustle Records CEO, who is also working on a collaborative album with B.o.B.
#TroubleManTuesdays began a few weeks ago when he posted photos from the Ball video shoot.
